When you think about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ; do you think about Him as a sweet little lamb? Or, as a soft man who can and will be pushed around by anyone? Or, do you think about Him as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and have a fearful regard for the wrath of the lamb?
For the Great Day is coming, when the King of Kings will return to this earth with His mighty angels and ten thousand of His saints! Let’s turn to the Living Word of God and take a look at that Great Day when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be revealed.
The Kings of the Earth
On that day, the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the chief captains, the mighty men, every bondman and every freeman will hide themselves. Don’t believe me, let’s turn to the Revelation of Jesus Christ as recorded by John:
"And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains;" - (Revelations 6:15 KJV)
They will plead for the rocks and the mountains to fall on them and hide them from the face of Him that sits on the throne and the wrath of the lamb.
"And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb:" - (Revelation 6:16 KJV)
Who shall be able to stand?
Who shall be able to stand; on that Great Day, when our Lord is revealed with His angels?
For when He arrives, He will be as a flaming fire taking vengeance on them that do not know God or obey His Gospel. As recorded for us by Paul in his second letter to the Thessalonians:
"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:" - (2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 KJV)
I’ll ask again, who shall be able to stand when the punishment comes from the presence of our Lord:
"Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;" - (2 Thessalonians 1:9 KJV)
Appointed us to wrath
Though, everlasting destruction is coming in that day; our God has not appointed those who believe in the Son of Man to wrath! Our salvation will be in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ:
"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him." - ( 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 KJV)
Wrath of the Lamb
When our Lord and Savior returns with His mighty angels and ten thousand of His saints; it will be a dark day. Both the precious prophet Amos and the precious prophet Joel warns:
Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light." - (Amos 5:18 KJV)
"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;" - (Joel 2:1 KJV)
Do not get side tracked or be misled; our Lord and Savior is returning! If you do not know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, now is the time.
Confess and believe in the Lord Jesus; for as Paul states:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
