Blow the trumpet, sound the alarm, let all of the inhabitants of the land tremble; for the Day of the Lord is coming! A warning recorded for us by the precious prophet Joel:
"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand;" - ( Joel 2:1 KJV)
Let’s turn to the Living Word of God and take a look at the dire warning of the coming Day of the Lord.
A Day of Darkness
The Day of the Lord, will be a day of thick darkness and gloominess states the precious prophet Joel:
"A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations." - (Joel 2:2 KJV)
In that day, destruction from the Almighty shall come; and who shall be able to stand?
"Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come." -(Joel 1:15 KJV)
Day of the Lord
In the Day of the Lord, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will return with His mighty angels to take vengeance on them that do not know God and those who do not obey His Gospel. As recorded for us by Paul in his second letter to the Thessalonians:
"In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;"- (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 KJV)
His wrath will be as a flaming fire; a fire that shall devour all things in front and behind: nothing will be able to escape!
"A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them." - (Joel 2:3 KJV)
The Lord shall utter His voice
In the Day of the Lord, the earth shall quake, the heavens shall tremble; the sun and the moon shall be dark and the stars shall not shine.
"The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:" - (Joel 2:10 KJV
The Lord shall utter His voice before His very great army:
"And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?" - (Joel 2:11 KJV)
Shall seek death
For in the Day of the Lord, the people shall seek to die and will not be able too; they shall fall upon the sword and not be wounded!
"Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief." - (Joel 2:8-9 KJV)
Repent
Repent! For destruction from the Almighty is coming! I’ll leave you with the words spoken to us through our Heavenly Father’s precious prophet Joel:
"Therefore also now, saith the Lord, turn ye even to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning: And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the Lord your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil." - ( Joel 2:12-13 KJV)

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior; now is the time! Confess and believe in the Lord Jesus before it is too late.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
