What does it mean to be an obedient servant?

Obedience

The God that I serve does not care about my opinion.

Instead, He searches the earth to and from looking for those who have a heart for Him.

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.”

(2 Chronicles 16:9 KJV)

My God is looking for obedient sons and daughters!

But, what happens when He finds one who is willing to say; “Yes, Lord!”

Salvation Army

What would have happened if William Booth had said, “No” to God?

What if, William Booth decided to stay on the sidelines and let the next man go?

Reader, we will never know, because William Booth was an obedient servant!

And, out of his obedience, William Booth will forever be known as the founder of the Salvation Army and the “Prophet of the Poor”.

Teen Challenge

What if, David Wilkerson would have never packed up his life and moved to New York?

What if he said, “No, Lord, my life is comfortable; please go get someone else”?

How many drug addicts would have never seen the good news of the Gospel?

Reader, we will never know, because David Wilkerson was an obedient servant!

He said “Yes, Lord”; and to this day, Teen Challenge is still one of the most recognized drug ministries.

In Touch Ministries

What if, Dr. Charles Stanley would have said “No” to the Lord’s calling?

What if, Dr. Stanley never started his “Chapel Hour”?

Can you imagine the millions of souls who would have never heard the Gospel spread over the airways?

What would the world be like today if there had never been an “In Touch Ministries”?

Reader, we will never know because, Dr. Stanley was an obedient servant!

Now to you

Is there a calling that the Lord has placed on your life? What are you on the edge of saying “No” too?

Though the choice is yours and saying “No” will lead to a lifetime of regrets!

Why haven’t you said; “Yes, Lord”?

We see from the three examples above what the Lord will do with an obedient servant!
