If you are a believer of Jesus Christ, you will have found times in your Christian walk; where it seemed like your fire for the Gospel was burning out! If you are here today and you are a believer; today’s reminder is for you!
What is really happening…
Each and every one of those times that your fire seems to be weakening; SOMETHING is happening. Do you know what it is? I’ll tell you!
It is the enemy of the Cross of Christ throwing water on your flame! Yes, it is always the enemy of Christ looking to divert you from your course. Remember, he roams like a lion seeking whom he can devour:
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8 KJV)
But, what is happening on the other side?
Throwing FUEL on the FLAME
Just as the enemy of our Christ is working very hard to steal your joy in Jesus; never forget that our Christ is working too. For He stands on the other side of that flame; throwing fuel on the fire! Each time the enemy throws his water; our Christ throws His oil!
Never lose sight of that believer; for as our scripture says:
"Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world." (1 Peter 5:9 KJV)
I’ll leave you with this
Do not worry about what the enemy is doing for he can ONLY do what our Lord allows him to do! And, our Lord will always be there to redeem those who belong to Him.
