Are you preparing for the eternal appointment that awaits you? For we know that the hour will come when all of those who are dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God and they shall live! As recorded in our Lord’s Gospel by John; our Lord states:
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.” - (John 5:25 KJV)
After all has risen; all shall head to their eternal appointment.
Eternal appointment
At the end of each of our trails, eternity awaits! For as our precious brother Paul states in his second letter to Corinth:
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”- (2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV)
Here we see that we all have an eternal appointment; but what will it be like?
All Hope for Healing
Unlike your appointments that you have in time; our Christ will not be your doctor! When you get to Him; all hope for healing will be over! For He will no longer be sitting on a throne of mercy and grace but on a throne of judgment!
“But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” - (Romans 14:10 KJV)
You will not recite to Him all of your problems of this life! Instead, He will playback for you all of the things that you have done in the body. And yes, that includes every secret thing!
“For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” - (Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV)
Follow up
Unlike your appointments in time; there will be no follow up or no prescriptions written. Instead, this appointment will end one of two ways; with some heading toward eternal life and some heading toward eternal contempt.
For as the precious prophet Daniel records for us:
“And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” - (Daniel 12:2 KJV)
Possible preparation
As you see from today, the eternal appointment awaits us all. We cannot schedule it, we cannot cancel it or reschedule it. At the end of each of our trails our judgment awaits. This is the judgment of our actions, our deeds, our words, our lives!
The only possible way to prepare for this appointment; is by ensuring that you know the one that will be across from you at the judgment seat!
Confess and believe
If you are reading this today and you do not know Christ as Lord; it is time to confess and believe in Him. For as our precious brother Paul states:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
Do not get out of this life without knowing Christ as your Lord!
