We have all heard of deathbed stories. Some of these stories are peaceful and blissful and some are horribly, horrific ! The horribly, horrific is what we will talk about today!
TIME has PASSED
If you have ever been around someone who is living out their last seconds in this life; you will know what a horrible thing it is to witness the human body die! The organs are shutting down, the brain is beginning to die and that person’s time is running out.
Imagine being in this state, and knowing that you NEVER accepted Jesus Christ as Lord!
Picture a dying man, a man who is agonizing in pain, a man who is dying. And, worst of all, this man knows that his time to accept Jesus Christ had past.
Yes, his dying words were something along the lines of: “O God will not save me. For my time to accept Christ, was twenty five years ago”!
Now, take the imagine AWAY; these were the final words of a man who has been in hell for well over two hundred years!
WALLS closing IN
Let’s go to the next person, same dying state! This time the man dying tells those around him “that he can see a brick wall closing him in”
This man’s final words are something along the lines of: “I see now that it is easy to get into hell; and that there is no way to get out.”
These were the last words of a man who has been bricked into an eternity of torment for hundreds of years!
And LASTLY…
The man who spent his entire life mocking God and cursing our Christ. This is a man who even on his deathbed wants nothing to do with the RESURRECTED SAVIOR!
This man will NEVER confess his sins, ask for repentance or plead for the blood of the lamb. This is a man who has always been destined to spend an eternity in hell….
Reader…
We ALL must leave this life as our scripture says: from dust we came and dust we must return.
"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." (Genesis 3:19 KJV)
"All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again." (Ecclesiastes 3:20 KJV)
We do not know when or how we will leave this life; some won’t get a deathbed. Some wont get a final tick of the hour.
Confess and believe in the Lord Jesus as our precious brother Paul says:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
When your brain is dying and your organs are shutting down; you do not want to be trying to make a decision on where you will spend your eternity.
SOLIDIFY your eternal life today.
