In these last moments of human history, have you thought about what man will do to avoid the Wrath of the Lamb? Well, there is really no need to wonder for our Lord’s Gospel provides in great detail what man will do when our Lord turns His wrath on this world.

What do we know?

We know that our Lord and Savior is set to return to this earth. This time He will not be a baby in a manger; instead He will be a vengeance seeker!

"And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ" (2 Thessalonians 1:7-8 KJV)

He is not coming with an outstretched hand; He is coming as a flaming fire to take vengeance on those who do not know God or obey His Gospel.

When He arrives

When He arrives, He will have ten thousand of His saints and His mighty angels with Him.

"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." (Jude 1:14-15 KJV)

The question still remains what will the inhabitants of the earth be doing?

Well..

I will let our Lord tell you:

"And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb" (Revelation 6:15-16 KJV)

Nowhere to run

We see that some of the inhabitants of the earth will beg the rocks to fall on them! But, what else will some do? I’ll let the precious prophet Amos tell you:

"I saw the Lord standing upon the altar: and he said, Smite the lintel of the door, that the posts may shake: and cut them in the head, all of them; and I will slay the last of them with the sword: he that fleeth of them shall not flee away, and he that escapeth of them shall not be delivered. Though they dig into hell, thence shall mine hand take them; though they climb up to heaven, thence will I bring them down" (Amos 9:1-2 KJV)

As we see from our scripture, there will be nowhere to run. But wait! Let’s not miss what the precious prophet Amos says. He says that some will dig into hell. Yes, the place of eternal torment! The place where the precious prophet Isaiah says; the worm shall cover thee!

"Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee."
(Isaiah 14:11 KJV)

Reader, to avoid the Wrath of the Lamb some will try to flee to that place of everlasting destruction! This is what some will try to do as they attempt to avoid the Wrath of the Lamb.

Rest in our Christ

But what about those who know God and obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ; what will happen to them in that day? I’ll let our precious brother Paul tell you!

"For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him."
(1 Thessalonians 5:9-10 KJV)

No appointment to wrath, no running, no hiding; whether we be asleep or awake our salvation will be in our Christ.

I’ll leave you with this

The precious patient saint Job once said:

"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God" (Job 19:25-26 KJV)

If you are reading this today and you do not know God or obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ; our Lord is returning with His sword, for you! Confess and believe in the Lord Jesus today!

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
(Romans 10:9-10 KJV)

For when you look up in the sky and see our Lord standing upon the earth; it will be too late!
