Today’s discussion will center around the well popularized idea that: “there is more than one way home”. First off, if you believe that “there is more than one way home”; the home that you are referring to is hell!
For the path to hell is wide and broad; and the entrance gate is straight for the many that will go there! Don’t believe me; let’s turn to our Lord’s Gospel as recorded by Matthew:
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:” - (Matthew 7:13 KJV)
Hell enlarges itself
Hell and its inhabitants are so happy to see a newcomer that hell moves to meet all newcomers at arrival! For that precious prophet Isaiah reminds us that:
“Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.”- (Isaiah 14:9 KJV)
Previously departed spirits, spirits of those who were chief one’s on the earth all come to welcome the newcomer. At the same time hell is enlarging itself; opening its mouth as wide as it wants to accept all that is willing to go!
Again, if you do not believe me maybe you will believe that precious prophet Isaiah who states:
“Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it.”- (Isaiah 5:14 KJV)
As you see here, hell moves all of its inhabitants to greet the newcomer. Enlarging itself to accept as many that are willing to go; but you do not see that hell has an exit! Once you are in; you are in!
One way home
Every path on that “more than one way” road; leads to destruction! There is only one way home and it is through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. If you have not accepted Him as your Lord and Savior now is the time to confess and believe! For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead; you shall be saved!
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” - (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
Hell is real; it is a place of eternal torment and it does not have to get you!
