Comforts that only money can buy.. In the strive for these comforts..

Oh, to strive for the comforts that only money can buy!

Riches of this world

For the more money one has the more comfort that person has.

Money can buy anything in this life; from a plethora of admirers to comfortable living.

Oh to chase the riches of this world.

But, wait a minute!

Won’t the riches of this world one day fade away?

Temptation and Snare

And, doesn’t the striving to be rich lead one to fall into temptation and snares?

At least that is what the precious Apostle Paul said:

"But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition."
(1 Timothy 6:9 KJV)

But that is not all that striving to be rich will bring.

What about the foolish and hurtful lusts, destruction and perdition?

How often does man account for these in their chase for the comforts that only money can buy?

Cannot be purchased

And, what about those things that no amount of money can purchase.

You know, good health, a longer life, escape from death and a seat in Heaven.

There is no amount of money that can help with any of these.

The truth is that you can have all the money that you have ever wanted and without Christ you will still be living an uncertain life!

The choice is yours

You can go on chasing after the fleeting things of this world. Coveting, erring from the faith and piercing yourself with many sorrows:

"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
(1 Timothy 6:10 KJV)

Or, you can chase after the things of God!

"But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness."
(1 Timothy 6:11 KJV)

The choice is yours!
