Table of God: Judas Iscariot, how does one go from sitting at the ta.

How can a man who once sat at the table of God; end up spending an eternity in the flames?

Judas Iscariot

It is safe to say that you have heard the name; Judas. Yes, Judas Iscariot is a very well known name. Judas was a man who lived, walked, ate with and basically did life with the Christ.

This man had one job or did he?

When we read about Judas we must remember a few things!

One is that he knew scripture; he was raised with a knowledge of the things of God.

Two, he was entrusted within the Christ circle.

And finally, his life’s mission was always to betray the Christ!

But, how?

As we sit here, two thousand plus years later. It is easy to reflect on Judas act and loose sight of the how.

How could a man who was raised with the knowledge of God; betray Him?

What inside this man allowed him to make up in his mind; that he was going to sell out the Christ?

How could he do it?

Why would one go from eating at the table of God to falling forever in bottomless pit?

Sound familiar

Does Judas story sound familiar?

What Judas did has been repeated for generations; he was just the first to do it!

For over two thousand years, many a so called “saint” have put a price on the Gospel.

Even today, many are sharing a gospel that comes with no repentance, no Cross and no Christ! The worst part about these men and women is that many of them once knew the truth.

And, just like Judas, they are willing to put a price on the Christ!

the Bottomless Pit

Though Judas has spent well over two thousand years, battling the worm of hell while falling on fire; hoping to one day reach the bottom of the bottomless pit.

There are many men and women who have followed in his footsteps.

I guess the question still remains; how does it happen?

I cannot answer this question for you! All I can say is; do not let this be you!

If you know the Lord, yearn for and cling to Him! Call on Him, remember where He brought you from. And never stop wanting to live a life that was worth Him dying for.

We know that hell is real!

How much more real do you think it is for the so called “saint” who ends up there?

Think about the torments that Judas has endured for well over two thousand years.

To think, he once sat at the table of God and now is nothing more than a victim of the bottomless pit!
