What will tomorrow bring? What shall I do? Where shall I go? What should I wear? How will you manage the uncertainties of that day? How do you control what you have no control over?

Our precious brother James, provides us the answers to all of the above questions. Let’s turn to our Lord’s word.

Tomorrow?

What is tomorrow and who are we to make promises for it? For we know not what tomorrow may bring.

"Go to now, ye that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain"
(James 4:13 KJV)

So, how can we plan to buy this or to go there! How can we plan for tomorrow, the day after and the day after that? We do not even know, if we will awake on this earth tomorrow?

But a vapor

For our life is but a vapor, that appears for a short time and vanishes away.

"Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." (James 4:14 KJV)

We do not know when, where or how. So again, how can we prepare for tomorrow when do not even know if we will make it through today?

"For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that." (James 4:15 KJV)

Certainty?

How do we find certainty in a life that is full of uncertainty? We look to the ONE who was the same yesterday, as He is today as He will be forever.

"Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
(Hebrews 13:8 KJV)

For those who believe in Him, though we know not what tomorrow may bring. We know that whether we be asleep or awake; our salvation is in Him.

"Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him."
(1 Thessalonians 5:10 KJV)

Jesus Christ is all of the certainty that we need!

If you…

If you are reading this and you do not know Christ as Lord; now is the time to confess and believe in Him. For as our precious brother Paul states:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
(Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
