Our Lord refers to him as the Comforter; sent to remind and strengthen the believer. And, for those who have felt His presence in their life will agree that He can also be referred to as “the Hound from Heaven.”
The Comforter
Our Lord said that our Heavenly Father would send us “the Comforter”:
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." (John 14:26 KJV)
If you have come to a life in Christ; you know that the Holy Ghost works with your conscience to convict, remind, warn and bring you back!
"I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost" (Romans 9:1 KJV)
Those in Christ also know that when we attempt to ignore; the Holy Ghost becomes a hound!
The Hound from Heaven
If you ever been hounded by the Holy Ghost; you know this to be true. He will warn you before you step off into unrighteousness. If you do not listen to His warning; He will begin to hound you!
Hound you in your conscience and if you step on into unrighteousness; His hounding will get more and more severe.
He will hound you every second of the day and He will follow you into your dreams. His pursuit of you will be endless; why?
Because, He is trying to turn you back before you are too far gone!
If have ever..
If you have ever experienced any of the above, understand that this hounding is to save you! The Holy Ghost is still with you and you have time to STOP, TURN BACK and REPENT!
You may say, how do I know it is the Holy Ghost. Remember, the Holy Ghost will always work with your conscience in accordance to the Word of God.
And, if you are truthful, you know when the Holy Ghost is hounding you!
It is usually right when you are getting ready to make a choice that will have eternal consequences.
Here to help
The ruthless hounding is the Holy Ghost’s responsibility! Personally, I welcome it! Because I know that this unrelenting hounding will keep me on the straight and narrow.
If you are here today and the Hound from Heaven is on you: stop what you are doing, repent and turn back!
If not, He will hound you all of the days of your life and the memory of His hounding will follow you into eternity!
Our Heavenly Father sent us the Comforter; if He is hounding you, He is hounding you for a reason!
