Let us talk today about the final resting place for mankinds adversary!
Adversary
He goes by many names; “satan”, “lucifer”, “the devil”, “father of lies”, “fake god” and “god of this world”.
For those who are followers of Christ; he is best known as an adversary.
"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Peter 5:8 KJV)
He is adverse to the things of Christ and the One True God.
To him, Christ followers represent those who will inherit a place for which he himself can never return.
US versus him
WE have an eternal inheritance laid up for us; he has a pit of fire waiting for him.
WE are giving a few short years on this earth; then we go on to rest in the bosom of our Christ.
"Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." (James 4:14 KJV)
"He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness." (Isaiah 57:2 KJV)
He gets a time period to roam; then he gets to spend forever on fire.
"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever." (Revelation 20:10 KJV)
Mask the truth
This is the father of lies that I am speaking of!
He has so many lies that he repeated to mankind for generations. However if you truly look, you will realize that his lies will never mask the truth.
The Christ whom he hates watched as he was thrown from Heaven.
The God whom he thought he was going to be; didn’t even move to address him! The angels beat satan and his followers and threw them out of Heaven!
"And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven." (Luke 10:18 KJV)
Where he belongs
This is mankind’s greatest adversary and about him I will say.
At the the Final Judgment, I will be cheering when the Lord puts this adversary where he belongs!
