There have been many stories written, many fictitious movies created and more than a few true tales told!

All of which tells the story, that man has found death, the deathbed and what happens after death; fascinating.

And, because you have clicked on this blog; I know you are here for a similar reason.

Death

This world has seen many of souls. Men and women who as the scripture says are nothing more than a vapor that vanishes away:

“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” (James 4:14 KJV)

And, as the wise preacher once said:

“You learn how to live and as you live so you die.”

From this, we know that everything that lives must die.

As we die..

The wise preacher once said, “Every one will not get a chance to crawl up into a bed and die.” But, there has been many of souls who have had a deathbed!

Souls who have had a chance to watch their lives pass before their eyes and glance into the eternity that awaits.

Let’s take two examples!

Deathbed of a Saint

William Borden, was one of the greatest saints that this world has ever known. As he laid dying at the age of twenty five; he looked back on the life that he had lived for Christ.

Given the strength and his Bible, he penned two final words: ” No Regrets”.

There was no crying, waling, screaming, torment, death had no hold and was once again put to shame!

For when this man took his final breath; the Great Shepherd called in another one of His sheep!

Deathbed of the Infidel

Here we have a man who had lived his life without Christ. A man whom death had a hold on. This man too did not scream, wale or cry. He did however, glance into the eternal life that was waiting for him.

He saw the walls of hell closing him in and as he laid there realizing that it was too late; he uttered a horrid truth.

This man’s final words were:

“I am finding out that is easy to get into hell and no way to get out.”
-final words of a lost soul

That man would pass on into that eternity where NO ONE wants to be!

The hardest realization is that more will end up dying an infidel; than will end up dying a saint!

Tales from the Deathbed

Reader, everyone will not get to crawl up into a bed and die. Many will leave this life suddenly. Getting no chance to relive this life, no chance to repent and no final chance to call on the Lord Jesus Christ!

Never forget that Christ is at the root of everything. By Him all things were formed; He is the Centerpiece of Civilization.

He is the beginning and the end!

^"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Revelation 1:8 KJV)

He holds the keys of death and hell.

"I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death." (Revelation 1:18 KJV)

And, at every single deathbed; He is there!

In the last seconds of one’s life; He is the ONLY name that one can call on; to save your soul from hell.

"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 KJV)

Call on the Lord Jesus Christ!
