I am writing you today to remind you to set your sights on eternity; spend every minute of every day living eternity conscious in time!
For we shall all stand before our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and give in account for the deeds done in the body. As Paul states in his second letter to Corinth:
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." - (2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV)
Eternity Conscious
If all believers lived eternity conscious in time; we would be warning all of the unbelievers of the wages of sin. As defined for us by Paul in his epistle to the Romans:
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - (Romans 6:23 KJV)
We as believers would always be prepared to be cut off from the land of the living; for we know that our lives are but a vapor:
“Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” - (James 4:14 KJV)
And most importantly, we as believers would not be caught ashamed at the return of our Lord and Savior!
“And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.” - ( 1 John 2:28 KJV)
If you are reading this today as an unbeliever; what are you waiting for? For as Paul states:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
Eternity awaits us all so confess and believe in the Son of Man before it is too late!
Standing in eternity
As you sit reading this today, imagine yourself standing in eternity before the King of Kings and Lord of Lords giving into account for all of the things that you have done in the body!
Imagine what it would be like standing before that eternal seat; knowing that you had lived your life preparing for that day? Imagine watching your life pass before your eyes and the eyes of all of the saints of all of the ages and knowing that you are NOT ashamed of what is on display!
No do-overs
Remember, when you step from time into eternity; there will be no do-overs! You will not be able to undo anything or take anything back so begin preparing today! Set your sights on eternity and live each day eternity conscious in time!
