If I ask you what is the most awesome, the most terrifying thought that has ever crossed your mind. What would your answer be? I know, my answer! My answer is similar to a man, a man that I would not have agreed with on any other thing.
So, what is the answer? Let us discuss.
Personal ACCOUNTABILITY…
A man who was once considered a well known scholar; was once asked the very same question that I asked you. His response was something along the lines of:
“The most awesome, the most terrifying, the most colossal thought that has ever crossed my mind; is my personal accountability to GOD one day!”

This is a sentiment that was also shared by one of the world’s greatest saints; John Wesley. During his fight against the demonic institution that was “American Slavery”; John Wesley often reminded anyone who would listen that we MUST ALL answer for our ACTIONS at the Judgment Seat of Christ!
Judgment Seat of Christ
At the Judgment Seat of Christ, we must answer for every deed, every action and every idle word that we have spoken.
Do NOT take my word for it; let’s turn to see what the scripture says!
"For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV)
"But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment." (Matthew 12:36 KJV)
"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." (2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV)
Knowing this now, I will ask you again! What is the most terrifying thought that has crossed your mind?
Most TERRIFYING…
You must truly understand the magnitude of what will be your eternal judgment; to truly find it frightening! The idea of standing with the eyes of billions watching as the King of Kings replays your poor life; should frighten you!
Knowing that in that moment you can take nothing back and that the Lord of Lords will be seated on a throne of Judgment! His mercy will be gone and you will answer for your life.
For me the answer is simple, the answer plays out in my mind every second of everyday!
Understand the MAGNITUDE
I truly understand the magnitude of that moment in eternity; where the eyes of every saint of every age will be on me. My life in Christ does not worry me; it is the things that I will get wrong in this life; the things that I will miss. The moments in time where I should have been looking here but I was looking there. Where I had a moment to do this or that and I let the moment pass.
When you truly understand the MAGNITUDE of your eternal judgment; the answer to the opening question is simple.
