The world portrays Him with His straight hair and soft eyes; O how He will be so pleasing to look at. He stretches out His hand as He beckons us to come and be His friend. He is a good guy and He awaits His chance to walk hand and hand with each of us into eternity. These are all descriptions of someone’s Christ but this is not my Christ. I will gladly let all of those who want this Christ have Him; I’ll take the true Christ.
The True Christ
The True Christ has no comeliness or beauty that no one shall desire Him. How do we know; the precious prophet Isaiah told us.
“For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.” - (Isaiah 53:2 KJV)
The True Christ is and forever will be hated by this world! He gave His life as a ransom to claim for himself a people of His own possession and the world still hates Him!
“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” - (John 15:18 KJV)
“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” - (Mark 10:45 KJV)
Any hand that He did have stretched out toward man was slapped down a long time ago!
Eternity
The True Christ is returning to take vengeance upon this world! For He is returning like a flaming fire to take vengeance upon those who do not know God or obey His Gospel.
“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ:” - (2 Thessalonians 1:8 KJV)
After that, He will stand across each of us at His eternal court! Where He will reign as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and pass judgment on each of our lives!
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.” - (2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV)
The final stop after leaving His judgment seat will either be eternal life or eternal damnation.
“And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.”- (Daniel 12:2 KJV)
The above is who our Lord and Savior says that He is! He told us who He was, is and is to come.
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." - (Revelation 1:8 KJV)
If you choose…
If you are reading this and you do not know Christ as Lord; now is the time for you to make the choice. You can take the world’s version; which is a lie! Or, you can take our Lord’s version of who He says that He is!
If you choose our Lord’s version of Himself; confess and believe in Him! For as our precious brother Paul states:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." - (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
