Have you heard the story of the Christian, the catholic priest and the dying man? If not, here it is.

A dying man

The story goes that there was once a man on his death bed. As his mortal life was coming to an end; he was slipping in and out of the eternity that was waiting for him.

He was in a terrible and horrid state for as the Prince of Preachers once said:

“As a man dies it is his or her life that causes the pain; not death.”
-The Prince of Preachers

This man had lived his life without Christ. So he laid there dying; hopeless.

The Christian

Near to him was a Christ following man. This Christian man went to the bed of this dying infidel and inquired into his state. The man uttered dreadful and hopeless words to which the Christian man said; “I know someone who can help you.”

The dying man said; he did not want to hear that. “Go fetch him a priest!” The Christian man asked him what would a priest do for him. The dying man screamed; “he was running out of time, go fetch the priest.”

To appease the dying man; the Christ follower went and found a priest. The priest came in with the usual spew. The dying man began to bargain; he said he would give all that he had if this priest would help relieve his dying state of mind.

The priest began doing what “they do” and afterwards he told the dying man to pass on now in peace.

The dying man asked; “am I supposed to feel any different because I don’t!” The priest uttered a few more of his hopeless words and again said; “man pass on in peace.”

To this the dying man said; “I do not feel any different than I did before you came.” To that the enraged priest told the man it was his fault for not believing and he stormed out of the room.

Because there sits at the right hand of God an ALL SUFFICIENT SAVIOR; this dying man was not left to die in that hopeless state.

The Christian man was still near by! The Christian man approached the dying mans bed and asked him; “Now would you like to hear what I have to say?”

The dying man said; “Go ahead, for I have nothing left.” At that moment, the Christian man called on the only name given among men by which man must be saved!

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 KJV)

In the last seconds of that dying mans life; he said; “I believe”. And in that moment, that horrid, death spirit that was plaguing him; FLED!

A peace would fall over that dying man and he would pass on from this life.

The above is taken from the account of a real man. This is not fiction! There is NO ONE on this earth that will escape death. There were only two men who ever ESCAPED death; Enoch and Elijah!

You like all the rest of us, will die. And, as the Prince of Preachers once said; it will be how you lived your life that will make your death either painful or peaceful.

Only Redeemer

Regarding the priest, every weekend millions of souls gather to “confess” their sins to a man! A man, that can do NOTHING for them!

The ONLY REDEEMER resides in Heaven at the right hand of God. There is no man who can step between you and Him and admonish your sins!

It is ONLY in the name of JESUS CHRIST that you can be SAVED!

The man in this story learned this with SECONDS left in his life; do not let that be you!

Believe on the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved.

"And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." 
(Acts 16:31 KJV)

Do not wait until you are on your death bed and the spirit of death and the life that you have lived is choking you to death!
