Believer, as we live in the last seconds of human history; it is easy to see the darkness. It is also easy, to overlook the fact that we are to shed light on a world full of darkness.
Today’s reminder and encouragement will come from one of the ORIGINAL SAINTS.
ENOCH
Genesis, Jude and chapter eleven of Hebrews records all that the world would know about the precious saint Enoch. Our Lord’s Word says that:
"And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." (Genesis 5:24 KJV)
"By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God." (Hebrews 11:5 KJV)
"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." (Jude 1:14-15 KJV)
Enoch walked with the One True God. In his time with the Almighty; he was able to gain knowledge of things that are to shortly come to pass!
Can you imagine?
Let’s go back to that day and imagine knowing Enoch. You have heard this man share the good news of his God!! You have heard him speak of the things that must shortly come to pass. Then, one day, he is GONE!
Can you imagine?
I cannot help but wonder, did the people around even look for him? And, what about his family? He had children!
Did they inquire into his whereabouts? Or, did those around him say, “He is finally gone!” Finally, we do not have to hear about his God anymore!”
What do you think?
World full of DARKNESS
What would you do, if in these last moments of human history, a saint like Enoch appeared! A faithful saint! A saint that can be described as too good for this world!!
Would you listen to him or her? Or, would you be like those in Enoch’s time? Would you go on caring less about the privilege that you have to live among one of our Lord’s most precious saints.
Reader, we are living in the END TIMES! Just as I believe that my God sits in the highest Heaven; I believe that He is raising up an army of saints!
Saints who believe in the CRUCIFIED CHRIST, the ONE TRUE GOD and the ONE WAY HOME.
Saints who aren’t afraid to shed LIGHT in a world that is full of darkness.
Wherever you are in the world today, you may be one of these saints!
Our Lord’s Word
Find your inspiration from our Lord’s Word. When in doubt, look to the saints of old. The saints who truly understood what it meant to believe in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob!!
