Reader, I am here today to remind you about what one preacher once called “High Treason against the Kingdom of Heaven”!
Secret sin
As a believer it is often easy to assume that only the unbeliever lives a life of flagrant, flamboyant and shameless sin!
Yes, the unbeliever lives an immoral unrighteous life but what about the secret sin in the life of the believer?
What about the high treason that is committed every second of every day by those who claim to be redeemed?
Every secret thing
As believers we know that all secret sin will be on display at the Judgment Seat of Christ!
"For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." (Ecclesiastes 12:14 KJV)
Knowing this, why do many believe that they can commit secret sin?
Why would one who have been washed clean by the Blood of the Lamb; choose to live a life of lies?
No condemnation…
Maybe, it is because they THINK that NO ONE is watching; forgetting that our God is always watching!
Or it could be because they are holding onto Romans eight verse one; where the Apostle Paul states:
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:1 KJV)
This is our promise coming too Christ; this does not say that you can go on sinning after He saves us!
So why?
With all of this said, why do believers choose to live with secret sin? Why would a person choose to live a DOUBLE LIFE; when living one life is supposed to be hard enough?
Why would a person live this way knowing that when he or she “secretly sins”; he or she is committing high treason against the Kingdom of Heaven?
Reader..
Every second of every day there is a believer who is falling into this snare. There is a believer who is flirting with exchanging their “robes” for “belts of flames in hell”.
Reader, this is a cost that is too heavy to pay! If you are reading this and carry with you secret sin; confess and repent of it now!
For our Lord still sits on a throne of mercy; He will find grace to help you.
Stop carrying that shameful secret sin!
If you do not drop it now; you will see it displayed before your eyes at the Judgment Seat of Christ!
