My Lord’s Word says that there is only one who can destroy both the body and the soul; and He is the only one to fear!
"And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28 KJV)
Fear
If I ask you what do you fear; you may give me an extended list of things. Or you may say nothing; either way I will say that you are wrong! For there is only one that all of creation should fear; and that is the Lord.
Why would you be fearful of a man; all he can do is kill the body. Or, depending on how the situation goes you can end up killing him. So, why would you fear another man?
The Spirit
Mankind commits endless amounts of horrific atrocities against one another. But, those atrocities are made against a body that can die. Man cannot harm the spirit which is eternal. So, again I will ask you why would one be fearful of another man?
Fear is reserved for the ONE who can kill the body and the soul; and that is the Lord!
Our scripture reminds us that:
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him." (Colossians 1:16 KJV)
Yes, the Lord!
The one who made the invisible as well as the visible. FEAR, the one who made the thrones, dominions, principalities and power. Yes, the Lord is the ONLY ONE to FEAR!!
I sit here writing you today, as someone who has been redeemed. And, just as my scripture says, I fear my Lord! But I also know, that my redeemer lives and He will stand upon the earth in the latter days.
"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God" (Job 19:25-26 KJV)
If you do not…
If you do not know Christ as Lord; you have real reason to fear Him. For that soul mentioned in the above scripture, will be yours.
Repent, confess and believe in the Lord Jesus as our precious brother Paul states:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
