Reader, let us talk today, about the years that the locust have eaten.
…Years…
Reader, how many decades has it been since you came to know, Jesus Christ?
How many years has passed since you said the sinner’s prayer and went on with your life?
How many years have you laid to waste and let the locust eat?
And, how much longer do you intend on wasting your life in Christ?
Remember, our Lord’s Word says that we are nothing more than a vapor:
"Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away." (James 4:14 KJV)
Honest with yourself
Be honest with yourself. You have wasted a lot of your Christian life. You have not attempted to take advantage of all the richness that can only be found in, Jesus Christ.
The fire that you once had for the Christ is nothing more than a wet flint. The creature comforts of this life has made you soft.
The Gospel that once stirred your soul is now nothing more than a ritual. Your love for Christ has been nothing more than years of food for the locust to eat.
Merciful God
As you and I know, we serve a merciful and gracious God. A God who has already said; He will restore your locusts eaten years!
"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you." (Joel 2:25 KJV)
He’s not giving you back your time; NO you have wasted that!
But, He will restore the richness, fullness, fiery burn that you once had for the Christ!
Privilege
I can honestly admit that I write you from a place of privilege. I have the privilege to not have many years behind me so I can look ahead.
If you are reading this today and you can say the same; I am here to warn you!
Do not waste your years! For as a great saint once said:
“If Jesus Christ be God, and He died for me then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.”

As long as you are breathing, you have time to ask our merciful God to restore your years.
Judgment Seat of Christ
One day, you and I will meet; Jesus Christ! And standing before Him we will get to replay our lives. Our Christ says as He hears, He will judge:
"I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me. (John 5:30 KJV)
I do not know about you but I do not plan to stand before my Christ and watch Him count out wasted years.
