As a pilgrim in this horrid world there is nothing more important than your papers!
Passing through
The precious, beloved saints that were defined in chapter eleven of Hebrews; were better saints than you or I will ever be!
"These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth." (Hebrews 11:13 KJV)
But, we do share with them our pilgrimage!
If you are truly a saint, you know that you are a pilgrim.
Certain papers
Being a pilgrim marks you as one who is different from this world!
To the world you are strange and not of this world. And that saint, is absolutely correct!
This world is not your home!
You sojourn through this life seeking to return from whence you came:
"For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country." (Hebrews 11:14 KJV)
As you travel through this life; you have “certain papers”.
Pilgrim’s Papers
Every pilgrim’s paper reads similar to the following:
“The owner of these papers is a saint. A saint who seeks a country whose builder and maker is God. While passing through this life, this saint, will walk a life of faith. Day by day, until he or she makes it to the end of the road. And, at the end of the road, he or she will arrive at the city. Presenting their papers and there this saint will finally say: “I am home!”
"For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God." (Hebrews 11:10 KJV)
Do you remember
Reader, if you are here today and you are a saint! The above should apply to you!
So, I’ll ask!
Do you still have your papers? Are you still walking the straight and narrow path?
Or, did you lose your papers some decades ago? If so, do you even remember where you lost them?
Or, have you dropped your sainthood to be known and loved by this world?
Go!
Go find your papers! Pinpoint the time in your life where you said; “I want to be apart of this world.”
There is where you will find your pilgrim’s papers.
It will be torn, aged, barely legible and worn out!
BUT, at least you will have reclaimed them!
RECLAIM
Reclaim your saint hood and who you are in Christ!
For we benefit from an eternal, unworldly inheritance.
To the saints, stay strong! You know from whence you came and you know where you are destined to return!
