If you are here today wanting to hang on to “the world” while dragging Christ along with you; I am here today to remind you that, that is no way to live.
The world or CHRIST
You may be at the place where you say; “I want Christ, I want the Father but I do not want to give up the world”. For the pleasures of “the world” are enjoyable. Plus, “the world” believes that we should live our lives the way that we want.
And, even though this world does not believe in hell; everyone in “the world” wants to go to Heaven.You are no different, you want to go to Heaven and Jesus will “get you there”. So, why not have both?
Choose one!
The answer is; you cannot! You can’t belong to Christ and the world; choose one! Why would I say this? Because, my Christ said it!
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." (1 John 2:15 KJV)
If you love this world; the love of the Father cannot be in you. So, you must choose!
The world
If you are truly of Christ; the love of “the world” cannot be in you! Why? Because the world hates our Christ! “The world” had the Lord in the flesh and “the world” could not kill him quick enough! Not only that, to this very day “the world” plays and blasphemes His Holy name!
How is this a choice? How do you love something that hates your God?
And, if you are truly of Christ; “the world” is supposed to hate you!
How do we know?
We know, because the world hates our Christ. And, if the world hates our Christ; it is supposed to hate you because you are coming in Christ name!
Don’t believe me…. Believe the Lord!
"If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you." (John 15:18-19 KJV)
How is this a choice?
I do not understand how this is even a choice. Who would choose to hold on to something that hates you! This world has done nothing but blaspheme the Lord of Lords. And, if you are truly of Christ, you do not want any part of this world.
Let’s return to our opening statement. Holding onto this world while claiming our Christ is no way to live! Choose one! You cannot have both, so choose one!
We are living in the last seconds of human history. Man is running out of time! This world and all things in it will eventually burn up.
"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." (2 Peter 3:10 KJV)
If you are holding onto the things of this world; you will eventually burn up too!

If you are here today and you do not know Jesus Christ as Lord. Do as our precious brother Paul says; confess and believe in the Lord Jesus!
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
If you are here today and you are unsure of what you believe; it is time to make a choice. Choose the Christ before your lack of decision makes the decision for you.
