How often do you wish for more; get more and more becomes not enough?
“Self”
How many times have you said: “If I only had a little more; I would give here or support there”?
Reader, how much is too much? Or, when is more than enough; enough!
Our scripture tells us that for the love of money is the root of all evil:
"For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows."
(1 Timothy 6:10 KJV)
And that coveting after it leads one to err from the faith while piercing themselves with many sorrows!
So why?
This is a direct contradiction to anyone who says: “If only I had a little bit more”! For you and I know that when we get a little bit more; we want more!
And that we NEVER get around to giving to that “Mission” or that “Gospel Charity”, etc. etc.
No! What actually ends up happening is that we covet more, err from the faith and pierce ourselves through with many sorrows!
Just as the scripture says!
The TRUTH is…
If we really wanted to give more we would give of the little that we have now!
IF spreading the “Gospel” meant so much we would be working NOW to reach this dying world.
Millions will perish never hearing the “Good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ” because so many have fallen into the trap of wanting more!
What say you?!?
B. H. Clendennen once said: “We will either sacrifice ourselves or this generation”
And there is no greater truth than the words from this preacher!
What say you?!? Are you willing to continue to sit back coveting your things while you watch a generation die? Or, are you willing to sacrifice your selfish needs and wants to see a generation be brought to Christ?
The choice is yours!
