Woe unto those who have run after the way of Cain, those who have chased greedily after Balaam for reward!

“Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.” - (Jude 1:11 KJV)

For the Day of the Lord is coming and when our Lord returns; He will have ten thousand of His saints and His mighty angels! For some His arrival will mean salvation and for others His arrival will bring darkness.

As the precious prophet Amos states:

"Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light." -
(Amos 5:18 KJV)

For on that day our Lord will come to execute judgment upon all!

How do we know?

We know from our verse(s) for today which comes mainly from the book of Jude. Jude recorded for us the prophecy from Enoch, which states:

“And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,” -
(Jude 1:14 KJV)

And from our precious brother Paul who also recorded:

“And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,” -
(2 Thessalonians 1:7 KJV)

When our Lord arrives

For when our Lord arrives, He will be as a flaming fire, taking vengeance upon those who do not know God and those who do not obey His gospel:

“In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power;” - (2 Thessalonians 1:8-9 KJV)

A promised Day of Darkness

Yes, the Day of the Lord will be a “promised day of darkness” for those who feed themselves without fear:

“These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;” - (Jude 1:12 KJV)

And for those who speak evil of things of which they do not know:

“But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.” - (Jude 1:10 KJV)

For when our Lord arrives He will convince all of the ungodly of their ungodly deeds, and all of their hard speeches that they have committed against Him!

“To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.” - (Jude 1:15 KJV)

Woe unto those

Yes, woe unto those that do not know God or obey our Lord’s Gospel! For the Day of the Lord is coming and as we see from our verse(s) today; when our Lord arrives He will bring vengeance and judgment!

Confess and believe

If you do not know God or obey His Gospel; it is time for you to confess and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ! For as Paul states:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." -
(Romans 10:9-10 KJV)

Confess and believe in our Lord Jesus before it is too late!
