Reader, are you still looking for the Lord to return?

Return of our Lord

I am not here today to convince you that the Lord Jesus Christ will one day return to this earth.

I am here today to remind you that many will not be ready when He returns.

How do I know? I know, because the Lord himself said so:

"But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
(Matthew 24: 37-39 KJV)

Yes, though “the church” says that it is waiting and watching for Him; He will still come as a thief in the night!

"Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame."
(Revelation 16:15 KJV)

the Elect of God

The wise preacher B. H. Clendennen once said that the coming of the Lord is for the elect of God. For those who are anxiously awaiting his reappearing.

"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ"
(Titus 2:13 KJV)

The preacher was correct!

For only the true elect of God will be watching and waiting on Him when He returns.

only a FEW will make it

The preacher also said that not “everyone” will be raptured.

The “everyone” includes those who no longer hunger for the things of God, the one’s who have made themselves “god”, the disobedient and the ones who take God for granted.

This group of individuals stopped searching for the Lord to return a long time ago!

Yes, not one of the above individuals will be included in our Lord’s elect!

Do you…

Reader, which one are you!

Do you wake up every day wondering: “is today the day that my Lord will return”?

Do you live each day as if it was your last day to prepare for your Final Judgment?

Or, have you made up in your heart that He will tarry another generation and that you can stop looking?

Reader, I can honestly say that I live for the day when I will see the Lord descending from Heaven.

"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord."
(1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 KJV)
