Have you ever wondered what it will be like to spend an eternity with the redeemed?

Strait is the gate

Our Lord’s Word tells us that few will find the way that leads to life:

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." 
(Matthew 7:14 KJV)

We know from Scripture that peace awaits those who walk uprightly in this life:

"The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace: they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness."
(Isaiah 57:1-2 KJV)

Have you ever wondered what it will be like to live amongst those few?

True SAINTS

Those who will spend an eternity with the Christ are those who stayed the course.

Let’s talk about a few of them.

Monumental characters

Those martyred for Christ, prayer warriors, the monumental characters from our Lord’s Word. Heaven will be filled with them!

Can you imagine living alongside Abel, Abraham, Daniel, David, Paul and the Apostles?

Then there are those who came later.

Those individuals who set the world on fire for Christ!

Visitors here

You cannot forget the men and women who understood the eternal inheritance that they possessed. The men and women who knew that they were visitors on this earth.

"For they that say such things declare plainly that they seek a country." 
(Hebrews 11:14 KJV)

Yes, Heaven will be the final resting place for those who were too good for this world.

"(Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth." 
(Hebrews 11:38 KJV)

You and I

Let us now talk about you and I. For all of the above have made it to the place that we are aiming to go!

They mastered this horrid world, the Christian life and now rest with the Christ.

Reader, in the two thousand twenty-third year of our Lord, you and I are nothing like the individuals mentioned above.

You and I at best are “Creature Comforted Christians” and “Soft Belly Saints”; who live on borderline salvation!

One of the twentieth centuries greatest preachers once said:

“That there will be great distinctions in Heaven.”

I believe this preacher just I believe that he is with my Christ; right now!

FREE GIFT

I say all of that to say this; never forget that grace came free to you and me.

It is a gift of God that cost our Christ everything.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23 KJV)

Our Christ abandoned His throne to come to this disgusting, horrid world.

To live amongst the vile, wicked and unbelieving. All so that He could give His life as ransom:

"For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."
(Mark 10:45 KJV)

All so you and I can spend an eternity in peace.
