As a believer of Jesus Christ, how many times have you diverted from the course, purposely taken the wrong path or said: “Christianity is too hard, I am done” ! What if, every time you have done one of the above; there was a man ready to run you down and beat you?

Let us discuss.

CHOOSING SIN

As a follower of Christ, how many times have you willingly chose what was wrong? What if, each one of those times; you looked behind you and saw a man running you down!

And, when he catch you; he beats you to sleep! When you awake from that beating; you see him standing there waiting to beat you again!

And, when you awake from the second beating, he is there to beat you again? Would you stay on the straight and narrow course?

How much better would your life in Christ be?

OFF course

How many times in your Christian life; have you been warned of the way to go and you chose a different path? What if, after struggling on that path and finally finding your way back to the correct path. There was a man waiting there for you?

The man asks you, why did you purposely disregard the directions given to you. And while you stand there in shame, that man whips you mercilessly and sends you on your way!

Would you travel the remainder of your Christian life, knowing that you had better stay on the correct path. Fearing that if you did not, that man would catch up to you and beat you again.

Would you find it easier to stay on the course? Would following the path that our God has laid out for us be a lot easier?

What we deserve..

Everything defined above is what we as believers deserve. We deserve to have Moses on our heels! Remember, Moses had no mercy for anyone who did not follow the LAW!

But, because our God provides grace in abundance and is rich in mercy; we don’t have to worry about Moses running us down!

"The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." (Psalm 103:8 KJV)

Because our Christ is that Great Shepherd of the Sheep, no matter how much off course we get; He will not lose any of His flock! And, He will always be with us own our Pilgrimage!

"Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant." (Hebrews 13:20 KJV)

If you…

If you are reading this as a believer, check where you are on your pilgrimage! Have you stepped off course? Are you willfully sinning? As you read this today, you still have time to find your way back to that narrow path!

"Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."
(Matthew 7:14 KJV)

If you are reading this as a non-believer, confess and believe in the Lord Jesus. As our precious brother Paul says:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)

It is better to have HOPE in CHRIST; as you travel this journey then to travel this journey HOPELESSLY!!
