Some will lead you to believe that a life in Christ comes with a bucket of gold! Many will have you think that to choose a life in Christ means to forever live in peace and harmony.

Reader, I am here today to remind you that the above is a LIE!!

Prosperity..

Have you ever heard that with Christ comes riches? Or, that the better you are financially the more God is on your side? Or, my favorite, if you GIVE more MONEY; God will give you more money? Does any of these sound familiar?

I have no doubt that you have heard some version of the above. And, I am here to tell you that the above are lies invented in hell! Search the Bible and you will find that the only one offering prosperity for allegiance is the enemy of the Cross of Christ.

"Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve."
(Matthew 4:8-10 KJV)

So it is no surprise that the enemy would come up with the idea that prosperity is related to Christ!

Peaceful bliss..

If they are not trying to trick you with the prosperity lie; they are telling you that once you accept Christ, your life will be easy. Another, lie invented in hell!

To be a TRUE SAINT means to lead a LONELY, HARD LIFE! How do we know? Let’s take a few examples:

Apostle Paul

What did accepting a life in Christ cost him? I will let him tell you:

"Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren. In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness."
(2 Corinthians 11:23-27 KJV)

This does not sound like PROSPERITY to me!

Allen Gardiner

What did a life in Christ cost Allen Gardiner? It caused him to lead six men to a dangerous, lost island in South America. Where he would watch each of those six men either be kidnapped, murdered, disappear or die from the elements.

Ultimately, it would cost Allen Gardiner his life. He would die on that island; MARTYRED for CHRIST!!!

Oh, but a life in Christ is so easy; right!

Hattie Mae

Last of today’s examples, is Hattie Mae. What did a want for Christ give this child? A sweet exit from this dreadful life at the age of seven years old.

Still believe a life in Christ is easy and comes with prosperity?

Christianity…

I will leave you with a quote from one of the twentieth centuries greatest preachers. When speaking of a life in Christ he reminded us all that:

“Christianity was TRIED, found DIFFICULT and REJECTED”

Leonard Ravenhill

You can choose to believe whatever you want; the choice is yours! I am just here to help you navigate through the lies of this world. The lies of this world comes from the “god of this world” and he wants nothing more than to keep you in deception.

A life in Christ is not easy, if it was our Lord himself would not have said:

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it." (Matthew 7:13-14 KJV)

If Christ comes bringing earthly riches why did our Lord say:

"And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God." (Matthew 19:24 KJV)

Reader, do not continue to fall for the enemies lies.
