For those who say, that prayer alone does not work; they do not know our Heavenly Father and they have never heard of that precious intercessor named George Muller.

Imagine feeding, housing and educating over ten thousand orphans while distributing over two hundred and eighty thousand Bibles, almost one million five hundred thousand New Testaments and over two hundred and forty thousand religious texts in your lifetime. Now, imagine never paying a debt, never taking out a loan or ever having to fund raise to do so!

Now, take the imagine away because this was George Muller!

Today, we will revisit the life of one of this world’s greatest prayer warriors!

George Muller

Born September 27th, 1805, George Muller was a intercessor. He prayed and prayed and prayed and he believed that every word of his prayer was answered even before he said, “Amen”.

However, this wasn’t always the case for George. Before George accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior; he lived as one who possessed an unrepentant spirit! In his own words:

“He possessed no Bible therefore he read no scripture and he had never heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ preached”.

George Muller

Most of his youthful days was spent with him swindling people out of money!

Marvelously SAVED

Swindling came easy to George, until one day, when George was invited to the home of a praying man. George had the chance to witness first hand the power of prayer and that was all that George needed! One night shortly afterward, George went to the side of his bed, fell to his knees and begged our God for His saving grace!

For as our scriptures tells us that if we confess and believe on the Son of Man, we shall be saved:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." ( Romans 10:9-10 KJV)

POWER of PRAYER

George would start his work in ministry by building what would become an orphanage. His orphanage would house, feed and educate over ten thousand children over the course of his life!

No one inside of George’s orphanage ever went without! George racked up no debts, he borrowed no monies, he organized no fundraisers. Instead, George turned to our Heavenly Father trusting Him to supply all of his needs!

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19 KJV)

Yes, through the POWER of PRAYER; our Heavenly Father would pick up the tab every time!

No coincidence

It was no coincidence, when the orphanage had no bread or milk and it was time for the children to start their lesson and a knock came at the door. Standing on the porch was a baker who stayed up all night baking bread because our Heavenly Father told him to feed those children!

It was no coincidence, that shortly after George let the baker in to feed the children; there was another knock at the door! Outside the door stood a milkman who asked George could he give his children the milk he had on his cart. You see his cart had broken down; right in front of George’s orphanage!

With our Heavenly Father, there is no such thing as a coincidence.

This is the confidence

George would approach each prayer with the confidence that his prayer would be answered!

As John tells us; ask according to His will and He will hear you!

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”
( 1 John 5:14-15 KJV)

George was doing our Heavenly Father’s will and our Heavenly Father was providing all of his needs from a supply that can never run dry!

Mighty prayer warrior

George Muller, would spend the majority of his life caring for the orphans in Bristol, England. On March 10th, 1898, George was found laying on the floor beside his bed! Heaven had welcomed another mighty prayer warrior.

People would come from all over the world to pay their respects. Thousands lined the streets to remember the man who fed orphans for over fifty years through the POWER of PRAYER!

George Muller, one of the world’s mightiest intercessors and one of those who was too good for this world.
