One of the greatest preachers of the twentieth century once stated the following when speaking about our Christ.

“Either He was delusional and a liar, or He is the most fabulous message in the world and has the most fabulous message in the world.”

-quote from Leonard Ravenhill

Reader, many people will search their whole lives looking for the greatest message of this world. The problem is, they are looking in the wrong place.

Today, we will get to the answer very quickly!

Was not a liar

We know that our Christ was not a liar, how? Because He came from a God who cannot lie.

As stated for us by our precious brother Paul in his epistle to our brother Titus.

"In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began" (Titus 1:2 KJV)

Was not delusional

We know that our Christ was not delusional, how? Because, He did what the prophets and what HE said that He would do. He laid down His life as ransom, was buried and picked His life back up again!

How do we know that He did this? His Word tells us!

"For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45 KJV)
"No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father." (John 10:18 KJV)
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures"
(1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV)

We know that He was not a delusional liar so that must mean that He is the greatest message that this world has ever known.

So…

What is the message? The message is that when we were dead in sins, our Heavenly Father extended His Grace!

"Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)" (Ephesians 2:5 KJV)

And, by His grace and mercy, He sent His only begotten Son to die for the sins of the world.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:16-17 KJV)

For those who BELIEVE in HIM

He is the intercessor between us and our Heavenly Father.

"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God."
(Romans 5:1-2 KJV)

He is the hope of life eternal for ALL who believe in Him.

"That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life." (Titus 3:7 KJV)

If you could not tell from the opening quote, you should be able to tell by now! Jesus Christ is the greatest message that this world has ever known!

Our Redeemer lives

I will leave you with the words from the precious patient saint Job:

"For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth" (Job 19:25 KJV)

If you are reading this and you do not know our Lord Jesus; confess and believe in Him! For as our precious brother Paul states:

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
(Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
