Paul made it very clear that as a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ; his one purpose was to declare the testimony of God’s grace.
"But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God." (Acts 20:24 KJV)
Testimony of our God
Our precious brother Paul was determined to declare only the testimony of our God. And, this testimony Paul would give until the end of his life. How do we know? Paul told us! In the words of this precious saint; nothing moved him, neither did he count his life as anything.
"But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God." (Acts 20:24 KJV)
All that Paul wanted was to finish with joy the ministry that he received from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Gospel of God’s Grace
Paul, a man who was beat, stoned, left shipwrecked, he suffered hunger and thirst, imprisonment and accusations among false brethren: all for the ministry that our Christ gave him.
So what was the ministry? The gospel of God’s grace! What is the gospel of God’s grace?
That even when we were dead in our sins, our God extended His rich mercy and grace!
"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)" (Ephesians 2:4-5 KJV)
Our God’s mercy and grace
Our gracious and merciful God; gave the world His only begotten Son.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." (John 3:16 KJV)
His only begotten Son would give His life as ransom:
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45 KJV)
So, that through Him; the world might be saved!
"For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved." (John 3:17 KJV)
That is the gospel of God’s grace!
to Testify the Gospel of God’s grace
If you know Christ as Lord, have you moved to the place where Paul was? Can you say that your main purpose is to testify the gospel of God’s grace? Remember, we received the same ministry that Paul received….
If you do not know Christ as Lord, confess and believe in Him. You cannot testify anything about our Christ or our God if you do not first know Him!
Confess and believe in the Lord Jesus; as our precious brother Paul states:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
