If you are here today as a believer; I am here to remind you that it is time to shape up your prayer life.
Heavenly Dispatch
Today’s reminder will come from the precious prophet Daniel.
Many remember the precious prophet Daniel as the saint thrown into the lion’s den. What about the many visions our God allowed for Daniel to see?
It was through the interpretations of the prophets many visions that he was able to capture an overlooked truth.
That truth is, that when we pray; angels are dispatched!
How do we know?
From the FIRST DAY
We know because the precious prophet Daniel recorded for us:
"Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words." (Daniel 10:12 KJV)
For you that do not understand what the scriptures says; I’ll break it down.
Daniel fell to you knees and sent prayer to the Most High God. The moment that Daniels prayer was heard an angel was dispatched to him.
Twenty one days later
When we read on we see that though the angel was immediately sent to Daniel; it took him twenty one days to arrive.
You may say what was the hold up! This precious prophet needed help the moment that he prayed and for twenty one days he was waiting for an answer to his prayer.
But, what did the angel say:
"But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia." (Daniel 10:13 KJV)
For you that do not understand the scripture; I’ll help you!
Stop and Fight
The angel said; that he was on his way to the precious prophet and along the way he had to stop and fight!
He had to fight with the spiritual wickedness that exists in the high places:
"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Ephesians 6:12 KJV)
For twenty one days, this angel had to battle these evil spirit’s.
Return to the BATTLE
If you follow the chapter through, you know what the angel said when departing from Daniel.
The angel said; he was going to return to the battle!
"Then said he, Knowest thou wherefore I come unto thee? and now will I return to fight with the prince of Persia: and when I am gone forth, lo, the prince of Grecia shall come." (Daniel 10:20 KJV)
Reader, what so many miss in these few versus is the importance of our prayers.
Prayer life..
One of the twentieth centuries greatest preachers once said:

How different do you think this world would be if you and I truly spent time in prayer?
You see that prayer dispatches angels. And once dispatched, the angels will stop and fight the evil that you and I cannot physically fight.
I’ll leave you with this
The precious prophet Daniel understood the importance of prayer.
It was by prayer that the kings around the prophet changed but he remained in place.
It was prayer that shut the mouth of the lions!
Take your example from the prophet and help in this war!
Start dispatching those who can truly fight in the battle field!
