Let’s talk today about the “christian lie”!
the “christian lie”
The “christian lie” tells the unbelieving and unredeemed that all you have to do is add Christ to your life, and you will be good.
There is no need for repentance, confession, acceptance or death to self. All you have to do is keep living your life and add Christ.
Greatest lie
This is not the greatest lie that Satan has ever convinced man of, but it is at the top of his list.
Because why wouldn’t the Christ want for you to live the life that you want?
So, why deal with “self”, shed those old grave clothes or give up those creepy horrible things that continues to master you?
When all that you have to do is say the sinners prayer and go on with your life?
Sound good? It should, for it was a lie that was invented in hell!
Our Christ
Every thing above is the opposite of what our Lord has said!
Our Christ is an uncompromising Christ who reigns alone!
He will not walk alongside you as you continue to live like hell itself. He will not go along for the ride while you let “self” reign in your life.
How do I know? Because His Word says:
"Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?"
(2 Corinthians 13:5 KJV)
Examine yourself
Our Lord’s Words says to: examine yourself! And, when you examine yourself; you will find out if you are still sitting as “lord” over your life.
For a true examination will either agree with the Apostle Paul who said:
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." (Galatians 2:20 KJV)
"For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain."
(Phillipians 1:21 KJV)
Or, your self-examination will agree with the “christian lie”!
