In this increasingly horrible hour for which we live; where are the watchmen?
SELF PROCLAIMED TITLES
The average believer will self proclaim themselves to be an “apostle”, “prophet”, “disciple” and “disciple maker”.
When is the last time that you heard anyone refer to themself as a watchman?
Reader, that title is not claimed often and there is a reason why.
It is easy to call yourself any of the self proclaimed titles above. But a very few will stamp themselves with the divine calling.
WATCHMAN
For the believer, the title watchman comes with defined responsibilities.
I’ll let the precious prophet Ezekiel remind you what our Lord says about the watchman.
"So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me." (Ezekiel 33:7 KJV)
As a watchman, you have to warn the ungodly world about their ungodly behavior.
You do not get to sit back and watch a world continue to utterly decay.
When the SWORD comes
As a watchman, you must warn the unbelieving world that the wages of sin is death.
"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23 KJV)
It is your job to warn this ungodly generation about the wrath of God!
And, when the Sword of the Lord comes and you have not done your job.
What will our Lord require of you?
I will let the precious prophet Ezekiel remind you.
"But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand." (Ezekiel 33:6 KJV)

Yes, our Lord will require that blood of you!
One of the twentieth centuries greatest preachers stood before his congregration and said that he would be responsible for no one’s blood at the Judgment Seat of Christ!
His words were something along the lines of:
“If you go to hell a two-fold child of satan; it will not be because of the preaching from this pulpit.”

This preacher understood that he was a watchman!
What are you?
Now to you, reader!
Are you a prayer woman, church deacon, babe in Christ, soft belly saint or borderline Christian?
Creation has seen many who can answer to all of the above.
Or, are you a watchman?
I’ll say it again
If you are a watchman, warn the wicked man of his ways.
As the Apostle James said:
"Brethren, if any of you do err from the truth, and one convert him; Let him know, that he which converteth the sinner from the error of his way shall save a soul from death, and shall hide a multitude of sins." (James 5:19-20 KJV)
And, watchman, if you do not do your job; remember what our Lord’s Word says.
"When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand." (Ezekiel 33:8 KJV)
REPENT
Reader, if you are here today as a unbeliever. You are walking along the out skirts of hell; soon you are going to fall in!
Repent, confess and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Coming WRATH
Now, our Lord sits on a throne of mercy and grace.
Also, the same Christ is on His way to this earth with His mighty angels and ten thousand of His saints.
"And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints, To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him." (Jude 1:14-15 KJV)
In that day, mercy will be gone. All creation will witness is His wrath!
