Let’s preview eternity! So Christ follower, you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior during your time on earth and you are now patiently waiting for the angel to pull your record. You know that you have lived “the best Christian life” and even if you haven’t there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For as Paul states:

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”-
(Romans 8:1 KJV)

With that you are safe and you just have to wait for your crowns

Life after…

But wait! You cannot isolate scripture like that; there is no condemnation for past sin(s)! Yes, you were forgiven for your sin(s) when you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior but what about your life after you came to Christ?

Remember, when you accepted Him as your Lord and Savior you also accepted Him as the Lord over your life, your thoughts, how you treat people, how you spend your finances and how you spend your time!

With that in mind

Let’s take another look at your seat in eternity! This time think about all of your services, your labors, how you witnessed for Christ; you will stand and give in account for all of it!

For Paul reminds us in his second letter to Corinth that:

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." - (2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV)

Will you shrink?

When you see Abraham, Moses, Daniel, Isaiah, David, Paul, all of the saints who were martyred, all of the prayer warriors, all of the precious saints of all of the ages including John Wesley, Sarah Cooke, George Muller, Allen Gardiner, William Carey, that precious saint David Brainard; these are a few of the hundreds of thousands of saints that will be in attendance!

You will watch as they give in account for their Christian lives and they will watch as you give in account for yours!

The Best Christian life

After witnessing their lives will you still believe that you lived “the best Christian life”? Will you still believe that you got the most of this Christian life?

As you ponder that, remember you do not want to be ashamed at his coming!

"And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming." -
(1 John 2:28 KJV)

I will leave you with a reminder from one of the twentieth centuries greatest preachers:

Crowns, crowns, crowns we won’t all be the same in heaven.”

-Leonard Ravenhill
