You most likely have not heard about the bottomless pit in awhile. If you have, you may have heard of it as being a place of fiction. Before we get started, know that hell is real!
Today we will talk about the bottomless pit. The place of eternal torment; where many souls find their way in and not one find their way out.
With that, let’s discuss the welcome that many receive when they arrive to the bottomless pit!
Enlarges herself
Without pomp or measure, hell enlarges itself to accept as many souls who are willing to go!
"Therefore hell hath enlarged herself, and opened her mouth without measure: and their glory, and their multitude, and their pomp, and he that rejoiceth, shall descend into it." (Isaiah 5:14 KJV)
All of the inhabitants are so happy to meet the newcomer, that the souls stir up hell to move to greet them.
"Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations." (Isaiah 14:9 KJV)
Familiar faces
As we see from the precious prophet Isaiah, the chief’s of the earth reside in hell. And when they greet the newcomer, they will ask them; are you as weak as we? Have you become like us?
"All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us?" (Isaiah 14:10 KJV)
Welcome to the bottomless pit
This is the welcome that many receive when they arrive to the bottomless pit! This occurs every second of every day! How do we know? Our Lord and Savior told us in His Gospel:
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat" (Matthew 7:13 KJV)
Go on to be tormented
Every soul that has been welcomed, has been and will be tormented day and night for eternity. The only reprieve that they will receive will be when the Son of God empties hell!
For He is the only one with the keys of death and of hell and at His voice, the sea, death and hell will turn over their souls!
"And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." (Revelation 20:13 KJV)
The worms cover thee
Yes, hell is a real place! All newcomers receive a moving welcome; then they go on to be covered by worms while being tormented, in the fire, day and night for eternity.
"Thy pomp is brought down to the grave, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee." (Isaiah 14:11 KJV)
Before it is too late
If you are reading this today, and you do not know Christ as Lord; a welcome from the bottomless pit awaits you! Confess and believe in our Christ before it is too late. For as our precious brother Paul states:
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:9-10 KJV)
